CONFLICTS:  It is imperative that the Production Team for Dear Edwina know any conflicts that might prevent you from attending scheduled rehearsals.  The rehearsal schedule is carefully and painstakingly BUILT AROUND actors’ indicated conflicts, with the expectation that if you haven’t indicated a conflict on a specific day you will be at any scheduled rehearsals.  Please work with a parent or guardian to create a list of ANY conflicts during the production period. (February 18^th through May 10^th).   Include classes, Doctor or Dentist appointments, tutoring, vacations, visits, sports schedules, etc…..Be very thoughtful; it matters!!!  (Use the back of this form.)

I understand that my commitment to Edwina is important.  I have carefully considered my other commitments, activities and responsibilities and have determined that they will not interfere with the Edwina rehearsal schedule. If cast I will be available for rehearsals, which could be Monday through Friday, and run as late as 5:30PM.  I also understand that the two to three weeks leading up to show dates are extremely busy with later rehearsals, weekend rehearsals, and show preparations.  I understand that the rehearsal schedule will be posted every two weeks and that I might not be needed for every rehearsal.  Generally, there will not be rehearsal during vacation weeks except with advance notice.

I agree with the policy that if I have 3 UNEXCUSED ABSENCES I will no longer be able to participate in Edwina.  I also understand that it is a school policy that any student with a grade below a “C-“ in any subject cannot participate in Drama.  Cast members are expected to let the Director know of any excused absences such as illness, family emergencies, etc.  However, we expect that you will try to schedule any appointments at a time that will not interfere with rehearsals.

It is expected that during show week (from 5/3 to 5/10)

parents/guardians will volunteer a minimum of 7-10 hours.

Dates:   Auditions will be held on February 18th, (DANCE FOR ALL) and 19th and 20^th after school.  Production dates are May 7, 8, 9 and 10.

To AUDITION:  This form must be filled out and signed by both student and parent/guardian.  Attach a recent photo to the lower right hand corner.  Hand in your completed form to the Director or Stage Manager.
