As a clinician at Centerpoint Adolescent Treatment Services, I am happy that my role incorporates the SAP position here at Tuttle Middle School. Upon graduation from Middlebury College, I have worked in Special Education at public schools and therapeutic settings in ME and VT. I recently graduated from UVM with an MS in Mental Health Counseling. My interest in addressing the complicated needs of adolescents is born out of a belief that given empowering tools and support, students can make healthy decisions that have short-term and long-term benefits. In today’s society substance use is a factor that impacts the lives of youth in our community. As such, my role is to help provide and develop an effective program of substance use prevention and intervention services. My primary task is early identification, intervention, and referral of students while also providing assistance in many other areas within the Tuttle Community. I feel privileged to be able to be a part of supporting youth in our community at such an important developmental stage. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any thoughts, questions, or concerns.
