There must be more than one way to do this!!!

   Step One- Two students have written on the same topic. They need to conference and create an outline, much like the original outline created for the Writing to Inform. 

 

  Step Two - The students compare their papers for content on each of the sub topics, identifying which paper offers better content or establishing that they have complementary information. The papers are color coded to ease the process of narration.

 

  Step Three - The students time their narration  (8-10 seconds per picture)  then establish the types of photos they need. Essential to do before looking !!

 

  Using the storyboard, they locate appropriate photos (don't forget books). Discuss symbolism with them, maps, flags, etc.

 

With narration and photos, they are ready to begin.
