Homework Policy, Late Work Policy, and Grading Policy

Homework Policy

Homework is due the following school day after it is assigned. Students will be expected to read at least 30 minutes in addition to any other assigned homework. Students will be expected to finish all incomplete class work by the following day.  If the students homework is not finished on the day it is due and passed in at the beginning of class the student will receive a 0.  There will be no opportunity to make up this grade.  Homework will be worth 30% .

Late Work Policy

All work is expected to be finished on time. If a student passes in a project or assignment after the due date the highest grade that the student will be able to receive is a 75. They may be expected to stay after school with the assigned team teacher to complete missing homework.  It is important that students understand the ramifications of not doing their work on time therefore there are no exceptions to this rule. An assignment is due at the beginning of the class period on the day it is due.

Grading Policy

Homework                                                           30%

Students are expected to write their homework assignments in their planners on a daily basis.  When they come to class they will have their homework assignment and planner placed on their desk in order to check their work.  If a student does not have their homework I will circle the assignment in their planner in yellow so that their parents may keep track of their children's assignments.
