FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Question: What is a podcast?

Answer: A podcast is simply a way for me or the students to orally give information... sometimes even with video. Use the weekly podcast to hear what we did in a given week and what we'll be doing in the following week. It is my hope to have the students take over this responsibility with the first few months of the school year.

Question: What is Moodle and how do I access this site?

Answer: Moodle is an interactive website database that will engage students in group discussions (forums), allow them to take tests and quizzes online, and also will keep them current with world news through RSS feeds. In order to access this site, you will need to log in using your child's name and password. You'll need to ask them for this information.

Question: What is Rebel Net? How do I access this information? When is it updated?

Answer: Rebel Net is a way for parents to monitor their child's progress through the academic year. Not only can they view grades for tests and quizzes, but Rebel Net is an excellent resource for parents who would like to check their child's homework completion.

You will be given a key code from guidance in the beginning of the year. Please keep track of this password as it'll be needed everytime you access Rebel Net.

Rebel Net will now be updated on a daily basis at 3:45pm. Please know that although Rebel Net will be posted daily, it doesn't necessarily mean that the teachers have updated their gradebooks on that particular day.
