Fight for Life is about a child named Maggie. She is a veterinarian. There are puppies that come into the vet office because they are very sick and they are from the same litter. They are black Labrador retrievers. Their owners bring them in. Maggie goes to school and she has homework to do. She would rather work at the vet hospital than do homework. She wants to be a veterinarian when she gets older.

Maggie is playing basketball when Maggie’s grandmother comes out and tells Maggie if her grades are not good she can not work at the veterinarian until she gets better grades. She is really upset because she loves pets. She is really mad at her grandma. She lives with her grandma. Maggie’s grandmother will have to hire other kids to help out. Maggie’s grandmother gets a phone call from Maggie’s aunt and tells her that her cousin is coming up to stay for a while. She is not excited about this because she thinks her cousin will take over. This is where I left off, but am excited to finish the book.

I really love this book because I love pets. This book is very sad because the pets could die. There are more than just dogs that come to the vet. The dogs are on oxygen, which means they are very sick. The dog named Dinky dies. I would recommend this book to other kids who like pets.
