Red Squirrel
| The red squirrel eats different things
including pine seeds, nuts, buds, fruits, grain, bark, fungi, birds eggs,
young birds, and occasionally ,mice.
Baby red squirrels are born with their eyes closed. After about 10 whole days the squirrels have a fine coat of hair on their body. In 20 days the hair has grown thick, and their bodies are well covered. In 30 days, the eyes are open. In 7 or 8 weeks, the babies are weaned and learning how to live on their own. |
