        Have you ever read a book that was so great that you wanted to read it over and over again? If you've read My Louisiana Sky , it must be one of them. This book is full of dramatic events and the author Kimberly Willis Holt comes up with the most interesting and unique characters.

     This book takes place in a rural Louisiana town in the late 1950's. The main character, Tiger, is a red haired tomboy who loves baseball and lives with her mentally disabled mother ,"slow" father, and hard working grandmother. This book holds many dramatic events and exciting scenes that will thrill young readers. The main characters have strong relationships and as the story progresses they get even stronger. Some of the exciting and dramatic events are when there is a hurricane in Tiger's town , and when her grandmother dies. There is also a little bit of mystery in this book , like when   Tiger's grandmother dies and she decides to visit her aunt in the city. A dark family secret pops up about her mother's disability.

    That is how I would describe this dramatic and inspiring story. If you are looking for an action packed and exciting book, then I suggest you read My Louisiana Sky immediately!
