Sequel to Hachet Gets Big Hit.
by Joel
Do you like the book Hachet? If you do you should read the book The River. The sequel to Hachet, I think is one of Gary Paulsen's best books. It is an exciting adventure and you get to know Brian a lot more.
The book takes place near a river. It
takes Brian through the second challenge of his life. He takes a man who is
in a coma one hundred miles up-river. I think the best scene of the book
is when he gets to the village. You find a lot more of Brian's strengths and
weaknesses. The River explains the things Brian does
a lot more than in Hachet. One of the reasons it explains a lot
about Brian is there are only two characters.
In conclusion I think The River
is a very good book. It is worth reading and is one of Gary Paulsen's best
books that is not a Newberry winner. If you are looking for a good book I
think you should read The River.
