The Long Tailed Weasel usually eats animals bigger than itself. They eat rabbits, hares, rodents, reptiles, and other animals such as frogs.

The Long Tailed Weasel mates in midsummer. This development proceeds for fifteen days to Blastula stage. The  implantation is delayed until the following spring. The total gestation is 205-315 days. 4-8 weasels are born blind. They are almost naked until April or May. Their birth weight is about 1/16oz (3 grams) They live for about 2-5 years.
