Religion: Most Salvadorans are Catholic. Every town and every Catholic church in El Salvador has a patron saint who is feted every year with great pomp and festivity. |

Government: El Salvador has a National Government. It is multiparty republic. They divide it into three branches. The executive, the legislative assembly, and the judiciary. In the past t hey harassed people, tortured them, or even killed them for simply exercising their right to speak out in favor of reform. |
