Chile has had a democracy since 1990. Before that, they had a dictatorship, but that was voted down in 1990. The dictator, Pinochet, improved economy.
The two main religions are Roman Catholic (89%) and Protestant (11%). This is due to Chile's Spanish heritage.
The main language is Spanish. yet again due to their Spanish heritage. However, Some of the remaining native descendants do still speak their old language.
