Cuba itself makes up just under 95% of the national territory. Cuba is mostly made up of flatlands and rolling plains. The largest mountain range, Sierra Maestra, is over a hundred miles long, and contains the highest peak at Pico Turquino (6,540')
Three out of four Cubans live in urban areas. The island is approaching 11 million.
