Book Review

Emma L. Skorstad                                                                                                9/30

I recently read Heads or Tails by Jack Gantos. It is about a boy who has family problems with his sister, and copies every one. I really enjoyed reading it because I loved the character and could relate easily! Jack, the main character, was very funny. That's why I can relate so easily. All of my friends think I am funny. I can make good impressions of people, and so can Jack.

During the course of the book, Jack falls in love with a girl on the school safety team. But when he goes to join, he finds out that she quit! It turns out that someone was bugging him, and he thinks it's him! But that's not the only problem. When he's on his way home from a fair, a man tells him a hurricane is coming. Plus, he thinks he gets rabies. Also,  his sister is always yelling at him for something, listening to her radio, or copying her. In the end, Jack ends up moving to a new, non-rented house, and his family is happy. His dad gets a new job, and his sister is a little nicer. But most of all, Jack learned a valuable lesson, that things turn out good in the end.

I think that everyone should read Heads or Tails by Jack Gantos. It is a great book. It is great for all ages! There is a little bit of a scary part, but it all turns out funny! There are also gross parts! But it all turns out good!
