Book Review

I recently read, Mary, Bloody Mary by Carolyn Meyer. This is a story about a ten year old girl named Mary. Her father, King Henry falls in love with a woman, named Anne Boleyn. King Henry divorced Mary's mother, Catherine and married Anne. This divorce makes it almost impossible for Mary to become queen when it's her turn. I really enjoyed this book because it had so many conflicts going on at one time. I also really liked it because it was very different than any other book I have ever read.

One of the conflicts was that Anne Boleyn was a lady in waiting to Queen Catherine. King Henry divorced Catherine so that he could marry Anne and make her queen. It is now very hard for Mary to become queen. Mary won't give up. This book is very different than any book I have ever read because it is the second book I have ever read about 1527, with King Henry, his daughters, and all of the conflicts that go on.

This book left me at a point where I thought, "What if this ever happened to me?" "How would I handle this?" It was so action packed that it was one of those books where you can't put it down. I would recommend this book to kids my age or older, but I wouldn't recommend it to younger kids because it has some violence.
