| On the festival, The Dancing Devils of Yare, the Dancing Devils, who symbolize evil, masquerade in grotesque disguises, rattling gourds and cringing before sacred images. On another festival, Carnival of Fun, elaborate floats picturing favorite subjects of folklore move past templetes [small shrines] that resemble theater boxes where members of the Festivals Committee and ladies are seated. Confetti is thrown about freely and there is plenty of candy as well as popular amusements. | |
| The clothes in Venezuela are the sameas in the USA, except the Yanomani Indians. The Yanomani Indians boys wear flaps and no shirts and young girls [younger then 5 or so] wear some sort of pant and no shirts also but when girls grow older, they wear dresses. Other Venezuelans wear shirts, pants shorts, t-shirts, skirts, shoes, sandals, sweaters, and other type of cloths like us. |
