The main  language in Venezuela is  Spanish.  
The main religion in Venezuela is Roman Catholic, although there is freedom to practice any religion. In Caracas there are two Protestant churches. Christianity was introduced into Venezuela by the Spaniards.

The government of Venezuela is federal republic. The Federal Republic of Venezuela is made up of 20 states, two federal territories, seventy-two islands in the Caribbean organize as federal dependencies, and a federal district, which includes the capital, Caracas.
