Book Review
I recently read the book Mary, Bloody Mary by Carolyn Meyer. This book is about King Henry VIII's daughter Mary. Mary was claimed a bastard child when her father divorced her mother, this meant Mary could no longer become queen as she desired. I think this is a really great book!
I like this book because Mary has such an interesting life to read about. You may think that because she's a princess that she is not very brave, but she really is. Mary has to move all around England, is forbidden to ever see her mother again, and she was forced to be Queen Anne's servant. Her own father did nothing to stop her misery and Mary would rarely shed a tear. To me that shows true bravery.
In conclusion you can see that this book has a really interesting plot. It has a great mix of romance, adventure, and tragedy. Carolyn Meyer goes into a lot of detail so you always understand what's going on in the book. Rating this book from one to ten I would give it a ten. I recommend this book to anybody who likes historical fiction. also if you like this book, you can read the sequel Beware Princess Elizabeth.
