Kimmy
Boar Chase
Bring, bring, bring. Alex groaned as the sharp, high-pitched sound of the alarm clock filled her ears. "Good morning Ms. Jarvis," said Alex’s butler, Nigel, in a strong British accent.
"Hello, Nigel," Alex said cheerfully. "Could you be a sweet heart and go to school for me? I don’t feel like it today."
"Surely," he answered, thinking that she should be going to school herself, even if she doesn’t feel like it. But he said nothing.
"Thanks, Nigel," said Alex. "Oh, and don’t forget to pack my bags when you get home. Angela and I are leaving for Hawaii tonight."
A few hours later, Alex and Angela had left their incredibly large homes in Bell Air, and were boarding the plane to take their monthly trip to Hawaii. When they arrived, they went up to their suite, threw down their suitcases, and fell into a deep sleep in their two king- sized beds with satin sheets.
In the morning, they woke to the peaceful sound of the morning rain. Once the rain had stopped, they went out on Alex’s new yacht. They were sharing their latest gossip, and drinking their daiquiris when Angela blurted out, "Oh my god!"
"I know, she looked so much better before she got a perm," Alex replied.
"No, I mean look at that beach, the sun hits it perfectly. It’d be a perfect spot to tan."
"Wow, I see what you mean," said Alex. "I’ll go tell Jackson to let us off here."
As they got off, Alex called out to her boat driver Jackson, "Don’t forget to pick us up a 4:00."
"I wont," Jackson promised.
They laid out on their lawn chairs and tanned for hours, occasionally taking a short dip in the water to cool off. The beach they were on seemed as if it had not yet been discovered. Behind it was a thick, tropical forest. There was nothing that showed proof of civilization.
Alex’s watch turned to 4:00, but there was no sign of Jackson. It became 4:30, then 5:00, but nothing came by. Not a single boat.
The girls became worried. "What are we going to do?" asked Angela.
"I don’t know," Alex replied. "I know that we’re still on the same island as the resort, but how are we going to find it?"
"Why don’t we walk along the beach?" Angela requested.
"Are you crazy?" Alex asked in a hectic voice.. "We have pedicure appointments in two hours. Lets cut through the forest."
A little scared but confident, the two 16-year-olds quickly walked into the forest. They walked for an hour and a half, but it seemed like they hadn’t gone more the two feet. The forest was very thick and everything looked the same. When they finally came to a place where they were fewer trees, they were a mess.
Alex’s strawberry blonde hair was in thick snarls with bits of twigs sticking out of the top. Her smooth, tan skin had large splotches of dirt on it, her clothes were covered in mud, and her face was scrunched up as if she had just smelled rotten fish.
Alex checked her watch again. It was past 7:00. Neither of them cared that they had missed their appointments. They sat down on the dirt-covered ground and moaned for a while, hoping that someone would come and find them. Of coarse no one did. Suddenly they herd a loud snort. "Wha, what was that?" Alex asked through trembling lips.
" I, I don’t know," stuttered Angela. Slowly, they turned their heads to see an angry wild boar charging after them. "AHHH!" They screamed. And this time, they didn’t turn around quite so slow.
They sprinted through the trees, screaming at the top of their lungs until they came to a dead end. It was a large pile of rocks. "Quick, pull these rocks away," Alex screamed to Angela in a hectic voice. "It looks like it leads to a cave."
They viciously started pulling away the heavy rocks. They scrambled through the little hole they had managed to make, and stood up to find a confused couple sitting in a hot tub. This pile of rocks did not lead to a cave at all. It led to something better, the resort! The expressions on their faces were nearly indescribable. They had a mixture of mixture of happiness, excitement, and relief. They were jumping in circles and screaming with joy.
When they settled down, they looked at the couple in the hot tub, which had a to petrified look on their faces. Before running off, the lady said, "pi, pig". Alex and Angela looked back to see the wild boar eyeing them as he wiggled to get his other half through the tiny hole. The girls giggled as they walked through the artificial cave and back up to their hotel room.
