The weather in Ecuador is fairly comfortable throughout the day. The average temperature ranges from 73°F (22.5°C) to 79°F (25.8°C) during the day. The Climate tends to be hot and humid and December to May is known to have constant rainfall. At night it gets less warm as during the day and drops to about 55°F. (12.6°C)

The population of Ecuador is around 13,447,494 (July 2002). The population growth rate is 1.96%.The birth rate of Ecuador is 25.47 births and the death rate of Ecuador is 5.36 deaths. 

Ecuador is on the western shoulder of South America. Ecuador is located below the Equator and around the 80° west line of longitude. Ecuador has high elevation right through the middle of the country. The name of the mountain range is called the Sierra. It's split into two parts, the Cordillera Occidental and the Cordillera Oriental, which is wider. The Cordillera Occidental includes the highest point in Ecuador - Mount Chimborazo, at 20,556 feet. (6,265 meters) On the west side of Ecuador is the Pacific Ocean and the Galapagos Islands.

Quito is the capital of Ecuador and has a population of approximately 1.6 million
