Brazil starts winter in June and ends winter in August. The winters temps. can get to 53ºF to 64ºF average.	Brazil is located in South America. Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, and Uruguay border Brazil. Brazil is east of these countries. It borders the Atlantic ocean. It is 48º longitude and 12 º latitude. The capital of Brazil is Brasilia.
The summer there is from December to February. The temp. can get up to 30ºC which is 80ºF. The usual temp. in the summer is 77ºF.
In 1950 the population was 51,944,397 and today Brazil's population is 172 million. There has been a dramatic change in the population since 1950. There indigenous population is Inca, Maya, and the Native Americans. The Inca and Maya left little for the archeologists to study. There is fewer than 200,000 Inca and Maya tribes left. The ethnic groups are the Indians. There were approx. 1 to 5 million Indians lived in Brazil before the first Europeans arrived.	This is a picture of a thunder storm in Rio de Janeiro.
