Nicollette's book review
I recently read the book, I am Morgan le Fay, by Nancy Springer. Morgan is a growing girl with two different color eyes, (one dark green and the other violet) she also has a really curious mind. Morgan is trying to find out who she really is, and the purpose of her life. In the end she finds out her destiny and is determined to follow it I really think that this book is exciting, but at the same time it was emotional.
I think that the book, I am Morgan le Fay was very emotional because lots of deaths occur. Morgan's nurse Ongwynn, a white witch, dies of old age. Then, Annie, Morgan's beloved horse, (that was once a gypsy's horse and than it was Thomas's) dies because some warrior guy ( the book doesn't say his name) decides to cut off Annie's silver mane, or should I say, her head, her beautiful head. Then, Thomas, the Thomas that Morgan loves so much, the Thomas that she locked inside a little house, so that he couldn't ever go, just be able to come, dies, and Morgan thinks that it's all her fault. That part made me cry so hard because they have a great time, and then Thomas dies.
This book is exciting and really emotional, but it is also sad, scary, and amusing! I loved this book because it tells a story about a growing girl that sot of reminds me of stubborn people, because Morgan thinks that she's more powerful then fate. Morgan also thinks that she can fight fate. That's why she locks Thomas inside her homeland. But then Thomas dies, showing fates more powerful then Morgan is. This is why I'd recommend this book to any age, young or old.
