I recently read Nell of Branford Hill by William Wise.  This is a story about a girl named Nell (short for Eleanor). She had the Bubonic Plague in 1665, and  she lived through it.  I probably couldn't take it.  I would probably get queasy and die from it.

I really enjoyed this book because it was different from any other book I've read.  What made it different from any other book  I have read is because there was a lot of people dying.  They were all dying because of a disease that wiped out 100's of people.  What also makes it different is that it  is written in first person in the 1600s. Once again  it's different because it is in the medieval times.  This makes it very interesting.

There is lots of carnage.  I'm not really used to books with so many people dying. It's scary because you don't know if Nell  is going to die.

It was a great book and a fairly short read.  I recommend it to people 10 and up or somebody who can take that kind of horror content.
