Lindsay's Book Review

    I recently read Poppy by Avi.  The main character is Poppy.  The conflict is that the mice can't move to the New House to get food, they can't move because the owl that protects them says they can't; so they send Poppy to see what is in the New House.   I really enjoyed this book because when Poppy was going to the New House, it had mystery and it was exciting, which I like to read.  

   The plot was mysterious and exciting.  The plot was mysterious because you don't know what's going to happen to her when she is going to  the New House. The owl saw her and he said if he saw one of the mice he might mistake them for prey and eat them.  When the owl looked for her again he couldn't find her.  It was exciting to know that she wouldn't get eaten and that she might make it to the New House.

   I think  they sent Poppy to go to the New House because she is brrave and is always up for an adventure, for example the owl who watches them says they can't go and Poppy thinks it's something that is in the New House so they send Poppy to see what's there.  

    I like this book because it is full of Poppy's great adventure .  I would recommend this book to others because it has adventure, excitement and mystery. So I would recommend this book to others who like those kinds of books.
