| Habitat |
| The habitat is mostly fields, or in deep parts of the forests. They live everywhere except for deserts. |

| The short tailed shrew population lives on the eastern side of the United States. |

| Food |
| The shrew eats worms and other insects. It also eats birds and sometimes mammals bigger that itself. |

| Life Cycle |
| Females give birth after 2 weeks of pregnancy. Young feed of their mothers milk for 2 to 3 weeks. The short tailed shrew lives about 12 to 24 months. |

| Survival |
| The short tailed shrew needs plenty of food, water and shelter to survive. It also needs forests and fields along with the water. |
