Jenny's Book Review
I recently read Number The Stars, by Lois Lowry. In this book the protagonist, Anne-Marie, protects her friend Ellen from the Nazis. I really enjoyed this book because the plot was very exciting and mysterious. The book told what was happening at that time very well, that is what made it so exciting. The book also never revealed what was happening in the story exactly, that is what made it so mysterious.
The plot was very exciting because it was creative and unpredictable. It took many twists and turns. When I thought Anne-Marie's friend Ellen was safely heading over to Sweden it turned out something was missing. That something probably saved Ellen's life, and her family's lives also. It was a handkerchief, covered with a dust, that makes dog's noses so they can't smell and help the German soldiers. It is also very mysterious, for that same reason. It took many twists and turns. The twists and turns it took were mostly when I thought nothing could go wrong then something did go wrong.
I will definitely recommend this book to others. It really explains what is happening back then. It tells you some things but not all things. I think that it has a great plot!!
