| The Red Foxes are not always red, they can be black or silver. But the Red Fox always has a white tipped tail. They only weigh about ten pounds. The size from the tip of their tail to the end of their nose is about three feet long. |

| Most Red foxes need a large territory for living. Fields and forests are places where they could live. They like to have a home that is small for their young and themselves. |

| The range for the Red Fox is in the United States, Canada, most of the Western US, and some times Hawaii. So yes the can live in places other than Vermont. |

| They will eat fruits, insects, worms, eggs, and other small animals. They will also eat food that they can get a hold of, for example... Chickens |

| For animal survival the Red Fox needs a good home and food like we do. So if the Red Fox gets thirsty it will get a drink if needed. They really need a nice, good, clean habitat. |

| Red Foxes are omnivores not carnivores
A group of foxes are called a skulk. A typical family of the red fox will stay tougher till fall. |

| The human impact for the red fox is that with all of the wood cutting down, the red fox likes to have a lot of forest, and dose not like open filed. |
