Book Review
I recently read Number the Stars by Lois Lowry. The story is about two girls that get in trouble with with some soldiers . Later Ellen's parents have to go away for a while. Then Annmarie has to chose to be brave or spill the beans about all she knows.
I really liked the book because it has some suspense and it has a lot of "no I want to keep reading, it is very good." I really loved the main character because she has to make really tough decisions, like to cry or act like she didn't even see it. Also, she had to help her mother, and to take the task all by herself, no help or anything.
Annmarie has to be brave to talk to the soldiers And also because her friend has to go with her parents and she does not make a big scene about it. Also she is brave when she finds the envelope on the steps and gives it to her uncle
I thought the people back then had a scary life. This book is about when the Nazis where every where, watching your every move.
I would really recommend this book because it was really good. Number the Stars is really easy to read and easy to understand. It has 137 pages.
