Customs and Clothing

This is a picture of one of Paraguay's traditions known as "The Bottle Dance" It is only performed by girls and is also somewhat of a holiday tradition. Lots of people flock to see the girls dance with bottles stacked on their heads.
Paraguayans celebrate many holidays including Christmas and Easter. Some of the holidays are: San Blas Day 2/3, Heroes day 3/1, and Peace of Chaco day 6/12.
The people of Paraguay wear different clothes for different genders. Males usually wear bombachas- baggy pants tied at the waist with string, and straw hats with wide brims. The women usually wear a cotton dress and shawl.
