The location of Colombia is 4 degrees north latitude and 72 degrees west
longitude. The relative location of Colombia is north of Peru
and Ecuador. West of Panama and east of Brazil and south of Venezuela.
Colombia has two coastlines. The coast lines are at the Caribbean sea and
the Pacific ocean.
The most common language in Colombia is Spanish. The other language Colombians speak is the native Indian language, but only 4% of the population speaks that language. The Colombians also use nonverbal behavior and gestures. Colombians usually run their hand on a child head. They respond slowly if something is troubling them. |

Most of Colombia is catholic which is 93.8% of the population. There are also many other religions celebrated in Colombia which is 6.2% of the population. Colombia has 12 religious holidays and many of them honor saints. The most important holidays are Christmas and Easter Most of the people pray daily which is is 67% of the population! The government system that Colombia uses is a Democratic Republic country. The government system is much like ours they have three branches the legislative, executive, and the judicial. A president is elected every four years. The congress is a bicameral system for every 200,000 people you get 1 senator and you get 2 representatives for each department. |

For the past 20 years Colombia has done sports for fun. Colombians play baseball, basketball, and soccer, and some table tennis. Fishing, water skiing, scuba-diving, and snorkeling are water sports that's what Colombians do. It's popular to scale mountains in Colombia. In Colombia also like hunting tapirs, deer, is popular and as well is boar roaming. What Colombian also like stadium events. La Corrida is the most popular stadium event in Colombia. La Corrida is were a man and a bull fights the man tries to survive by intimidating the bull with a red cape. Colombians also celebrates holidays like Christmas and St. Patrick's day. |

Colombian foods are mainly made of beef, spices, and vegetables. One popular dish throughout the country is called ajiaco. It is is made out of soup, potatoes, chicken and corn. Another food that is served throughout Colombia are tasty breads such as arepa. That is mostly Colombian food. Colombians usually what you wear. They wear shirts, t-shirts, pants like jeans, sweat pants, dresses. They also a Latin American style like scarves, sombreros. That is what Colombians wear.
