The locations of Bolivia are very interesting. The relative location of Bolivia is North of Argentina, Southeast of Paraguay, West of Chile, and East of Peru. Lake Titicaca is located in Bolivia. The absolute location is 17° South and 65° north. Bolivia is in the Southern and Western hemisphere. The interesting languages in Bolivia are Spanish, Aymara, and Quechua. Spanish is the most used out of the languages. Quechua is an international language because it is used by 13 million Native People. Aymara is spoken by about 2.5 million people in Peru and Bolivia. It is a harsh, guttural-sounding language, with sounds coming from the back of the throat. Sometimes people in Bolivia speak nonverbal and make great use of their hands while their talking. |

Bolivia's Religion and government are very important to them. 95 percent of Bolivia's religion is Roman Catholics. Religion in Bolivia is more important to the women then the men. There are religion orders in Bolivia. They are Franciscans, Mercenaries, Dominicans, and Juists. About 1.4% of the population follow the protestant faith, which includes Methodists, Episcopalians, Baptists, and Jehocah's. Bolivia also has this weird ritual blessing called challa. It's a Christian event. It is performed when a new building is built. Bolivia's government is just like the government in the United States. There is a president, a congress, senators, Legislators, Judicial, and Executives. The president in Bolivia's name is Gonzalo Sánchez. In the congress there is a chamber of deputies and a senate. The religion and government are very important to the Bolivians. |

There are a huge variety of fun things to do in Bolivia. Tinku, a type of boxing, starts off as a ritual dance. There is also a yearly swimming race, held at Lake Titicaca, the highest large lake in the world. Soccer is the national sport. It is held on every street corner, and every park. Some other sports held in Bolivia that is familiar to North America are tennis, racket ball, go-karts, motorbike racing, basketball, and volley ball. Wealthy people golf and sail on boats. The most popular children’s game is called Spinning Tops. Boys 7 to 8 years old to their teen years play it. They also play clapping games, chase games, and ones with stones. Bolivians also like to ski. They have a ski resort at Chaco Haya that is so high up, they have to an oxygen bottle strapped to their neck. A few important Holiday's in Bolivia are Christmas, Oruro festivals, New years, and Labor Day. Bolivia's holiday's our Mostly just like American holiday's. |

Bolivia, like the United States, has three basic meals; Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast or desayuno is usually a roll with coffee. People that are busy usually stop at the store and get chicken soup. Lunch or almuerzo is usually an appetizer which is sometimes soup, beef or chicken dish, and dessert. Bolivians wear all sorts of different shapes, sizes, and colors of clothes. Chipaya’s tend to wear rough looking clothing of beige, brown, or black. The traditional Native dress for males in the Altiplans is homemade trousers and a poncho. A women’s Traditional native dress consists of an, apron over a long skirt with many underskirts. Mantu is a shawl that sometimes is warn with the outfit. The lowlands tend to wear brighter clothing as well as brighter colors. The highland people tend to be more conservative and restrained. |
