No Companion

The light came in threw my bedroom window. There was a blare on my TV.  I could here water running from down stairs. It was morning I looked at my clock with blinking red numbers that said 7:07. Outside the frost made the grass all shimmery and wet. The air was frigid and soon I will be in a learning center surrounded by kids and teachers. Next week will be my Birthday and I still have no companion

I had just had breakfast, corn flakes with dry fruit.  So I got ready for the big breeze outside to blow me away. I have two sweatshirts on and a big winter coat on. I was wearing nice brand new jeans and new sneakers. I walked to the bus stop. It was freezing out. Kids joined and danced up and down to keep warm. “Clay, Clay” my brother Ty was running after me. “ Wait for me”, the bus drove in and kids ran on the bus smelled like moldy sox and was really warm.” I hate school,” Ty whispered into my ear “ I do to”. Then the next stop after that was the girl who I had a serious crush on, Lilly Rosenberg. She was the prettiest girl on the earth. The bus stopped and everyone got off. I was the last one to get off the bus and I was hoping that Lilly was waiting for me but she was just walking into the school building.

The school day was horrible absolutely horrible. There was a major food fight in the lunchroom there were bananas and hamburg flying everywhere. Milk was pored down my shirt and a piece of cake was smooched in my face. When I had gotten home Ty went right up stairs to get me a nice clean shirt while my mom was telling me about my grandmother coming to town and washing me at the same time. I really hate when my grandmother comes down to are house she always asks questions and asks why how my friends are it’s really annoying. So After the terrible and horrifying news I went to the dining room table and took out my textbooks and 2 worksheets for math. Math was my least favorite subject in the world, I love to sing. An hour later after I had finished my homework dinner was served. We had my favorite stir-fry. Dinner was my favorite period of 24 hours. I could talk to my family and be apart of it. I started to tell my mom about the food fight today at school. She wasn’t surprised about that.

The next day it snowed the white glistening beautiful snow covered the ground like a blanket.  I walked down the hall to Ty’s room and there he was sleeping like a baby I could here him snore. He had at least 3 blankets over him and he was hovered over a stuffed bunny he got when he was 2. Mom was awake and already down stairs making breakfast. “ Today I’m going to the town hall after school if you don’t mind’ “ no I don’t mind my mom answered. “ I’ll take Ty along with me he can read or do his homework” “Ok fine with me”.

When I had gotten to school we all had to go to the cafeteria and wait. It was to early to go to our home rooms. Three boys Ricky, George, and Dan were bugging me all day and calling me the teacher’s pet.  At lunch the principle Mr. Gordon made the whole 6th grade to have a silent lunch. After school Ty and me walked to Town Hall we saw Lilly Rosenberg. “ Hi Lilly” “Hi Clay how Are you” “I’m fine” I gulped and Asked her If she wanted to go to the town hall and study with us. She said sure and walked on with us. Lilly started to talk and ask questions like why are you so scared to sit at the big table at lunch and why do you let George and Todd and Ricky bully you around. All the answers were I don’t now.

Ever since that day at the Town Hall I’ve been sitting with Lilly and talking to her at lunch. She made the three boys say sorry and Give me their lunch money. That was cool that is how I made friends and got popular. I wonder if I got friends the wrong way at my birthday bash I had over 10 people and had a blast there was music playing and games a big cake with ice cream there was everything there that a party needed it was awesome. That is how I got a companion.
