Racing to the Finish
I woke up at 6:30 in my cousin Kyle’s bed. I went to the bathroom
then took out my gameboy until 6:45 when Kyle woke up. Since we were not allowed to go down stairs until, 7:00 to 8:00 he grabbed his gameboy until his mom let us go downstairs at 7:30.We went downstairs, ate breakfast, played some Game Cube, and gameboy, and then we went outside with our fake weapons until 1:30 when people started arriving.
When Ryan got here, we played Xbox, but when Ryan got here Shelby got here! Then Anthony and Saria got here. Kyle and I knew that it was going to be a horrible day because when Saria and Shelby got here we know that they were going to make trouble for us.
We were all playing Game Cube when Ryan rushed in and said, “Greg, Kyle, Anthony the girls are coming downstairs soon.”
“I’ll go spy on them while you guys prepare for them,” Anthony bravely exclaimed.
Ryan, Kyle, and I were sitting in the family room when Anthony rushed downstairs saying “The girls are coming.” As the girls rushed down the stairs we hid Kyle in the kennel and I hid behind it, and Ryan and Anthony ran outside. When the girls were gone I let Kyle out of the kennel. “That was close” I exclaimed.
“You got that right.” Kyle said nervously.
“We’re coming,” we both yelled as we saw them running outside. We ran right out the front door. I told Ryan and Anthony to hide in the bushes. The girls were turning the corner when I grabbed Kyle by the shirt and slipped in to the bushes. We heard them talking, “This swing set will give a great view when the boys get into eye view.” In the bushes I was talking to the boys,
“Alright the girls are only 3-4 yards away from us so on the count three we run out of the bushes okay? 1…2…3 RUN.” We blasted out of the bushes running toward the house. Shelby took a shortcut and beat us to the only staircase to the deck. Kyle flipped over the side, and ran into the house with Shelby chasing after him with a few other girls following behind. I told Ryan and Anthony to distract the other girls. I ran in after Kyle.
I found Kyle pinned on the bathroom floor. Shelby was just about to get him when I pulled her off him. She was so mad she chased me outside with Kyle tailing behind.
Kyle and I jumped into our go-kart. Ryan and Anthony lost the other girls and jumped into their go-kart. Right when the other girls jumped into their go-karts the front and back yards turned into a Mario Kart Double Dash track. I thought I was going nuts when I saw Kyle as Toad, Ryan as Yoshi, and Anthony as Luigi. From the glare on the track I saw myself as Baby Bowser! Shelby and Saria drove up. Shelby as Peach and Saria as Daisy. We started the race.
We were coming to the first item block. I got a homing red shell. Shelby and Saria passed by leaving Ryan and Anthony in third. I threw the homing red shell at them. The race was halfway done. “You guys are going down.” Shelby and Saria exclaimed as they drove by. We were on the final lap. All the mini Toadettes turned into two huge Toadettes. I switched with Kyle into the back. I got a Bob-bob. Shelby and Saria drove right up to us. I kicked them off the track disqualifying them. The three Chain-Chomps smacked the two Toadettes at the same time as my Bob-bob hit them destroying them.
We had won. That night all four of us roasted marshmallows to celebrate our victory. As we ate, our marshmallows we thought what life would be like now without Shelby, Saria, and all the other girls.
I slept over that night. When I woke up I played Super Mario Circuit on my game boy. When Kyle woke up we played together. When his mom let us downstairs we got on the Game Cube and played Mario Kart Double Dash using the characters Toad, Yoshi, Luigi, Baby Bowser, and faced Daisy, Peach, and Toadette. I looked out the window and saw my reflection as Baby Bowser.
