HOLES BOOK REVIEW

By: Hing

I  recently read the book Holes by Louis Sachar. It is a story about a boy named Stanley that is sent to a camp were you dig holes daily as a punishment; then one day he digs up buried treasure that belongs to his family and gets to leave the camp. I really enjoyed this book because I liked how Stanley didn't want to go in the beginning, but in the end he was glad he went.

My favorite character was Zero, his real name was Hector Zeroni. I like him because he is always so quiet. Zero is very good at math but in the beginning it seemed like he was a little slow in the mind. I also like how Zero is always quiet and doesn't like to answer questions, because it made him seem so mysterious.

I think Holes is a great book. It is a suspenseful story that always makes me wonder what is going to happen next. I would recommend it for people who like a little mystery and adventure.
