The Golden Compass
I recently read a book called the golden Compass by Phillip Pullman. It is a story about Lyra, who goes in a amazing adventure with her friends; she is chased b the Oblation Board and later she runs into a different world.
I really enjoyed this book because it is full of adventure and awesome characters like Armored polar bears, witches, daemons and more.
Phillip Pullman does a amazing job writing and making up different types of animals and races. I especially liked the daemons because they are cool and it's like having your own personnel pet that can talk to you. I think the author did a good job of making you want to read on. All the new ideas are fascinating and they keep me interested. For example Pullman made his own world almost the same as ours but it really different.
The Golden Compass is a great book I recommend it for all middle school readers.
