The White Mountains                                        book review by Jonathan Beauvillier          

    I recently read the book the White Mountains by John Christopher. It's a story about a boy named Will. He's trying to get these three legged things, called tripods to leave the earth and never come back. At the end he gets the tripods to leave the earth. I really enjoyed this book because it had action and I like action. but it also had a story to the book so that made it a good book.

    I like Will as a character because he's funny and I like the way the author makes Will talk. He doesn't just say things he makes him have a different personality when he makes him talk.

    I thought it was a great book. I would recommend this book to people who like science fiction because it has aliens. It's a good reading level for grades 5 to 7.I really liked this book.
