    Throughout the beginning of the year, Odyssey has done some things exciting and new.  Some of them include field trips and activities.  Here are some things to think about:

1.  Our first activity during the school year was an educational trip to Mount Philo.  We learned that Philo is a Greek word for love.  We also classified some of the mountain's finest leaves and did an activity that included viewing the near by mountains.  We had fun as a team and would love to go there again in the future.

2.  Our second trip was to our downtown Flynn Theatre and we saw cultural dances.   We heard unique and brilliant music from a tribe from  Central Africa.  They wore grass skirts and musical instruments on their calves.  We saw this because we were about to study different countries and their cultures.

3.  An activity that has came and past is our traditional social, which is kind of like a dance, but with your friends instead.  Our last one was a Halloween Social and everyone dressed up.  It is a small fee to get in, but it's worth it.  The food, the music, and the dancing with friends is all so cool.

4.  On the 30th of November we had a World's fair between our two classrooms. It was a huge success!  The food, the music, and the info was all great!  We all had posters and brochures that we created.  We had been studying and learning about a country and culture we chose and this is what it came out to! 5.  Our most recent field trip was to the Flynn Theatre to see a fantastic play called "Lilli."  It was about a girl going through adolescence and her true happy, sad, or mad feelings.  The Dynamo  Theater of Montreal came down to put on this wonderful, touching and exciting play.
